While remaining flexible enough to respond to any request, our company focuses on 3 main areas:
Logging
Execo buys standing timber directly from private and public owners, mainly in the Walloon Region (Belgium), as well as in France (Massif Vosgien), participating in public, communal or state sales or buying by mutual agreement.
Committed to promoting environmentally-friendly forest management, Execo has held PEFC certification since 2005.
Delimbing and skidding work is carried out exclusively by subcontractors who have signed up to the forestry quality charter, which guarantees good forestry practices.
Logs are transported using the company's own Scania trucks.
Wood logistics
With its own logging trucks, Execo delivers by full truckload throughout Belgium and within a radius of more than 300 kilometres, supplying sawmills in the Vosges (France) and the German regions of Rhineland and Saarland.
Transport to Italy and Spain is carried out by trays, using local hauliers.
Larger volumes of around 1000 m 3 are transported by train, in collaboration with SNCB's cargo subsidiary and its French and German correspondents, or in partnership with private forwarding agents (Nietenvracht, Eurocargorail, etc.).
Exports to Asia are shipped by container from the Ardennes forest, where Execo works with specialised export forwarding agents based in the port of Antwerp, selling softwood and hardwood with phytosanitary and origin certificates.
The timber trade
